Mount Kigali University (MKUR) is inviting applications from eligible Rwandan students for tuition-only scholarships for the September 2026/2027 intake. The scholarships are available for selected undergraduate Health Science programmes and are intended for students who meet the required academic qualifications and successfully pass the university’s admission test.

The scholarship opportunity is sponsored by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with Mount Kigali University, which will conduct the application, admission testing, and final selection process.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful candidates will receive a tuition-only scholarship for the selected undergraduate programme.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Be a Rwandan national.

·       Have completed General Secondary Education (A-Level).

·       Hold one of the following subject combinations:

o   Mathematics – Chemistry – Biology (MCB)

o   Physics – Chemistry – Biology (PCB)

o   Biology – Chemistry – Geography (BCG)

o   A2 qualification in Nursing (Associate Nursing)

·       Be available to sit for the university's admission test.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

The tuition-only scholarships are available for the following undergraduate programmes:

1.     Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences

2.     Bachelor of Science in Dental Therapy

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants are required to upload the following documents during the online application:

·       Senior Six (S6) Certificate

·       National ID or Passport

·       Recent passport-size photograph

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Interested applicants should follow these steps:

1.     Visit the Mount Kigali University Online Application Portal and complete the online application

2.     Eligible candidates will be invited to sit for the MKUR admission test.

3.     The admission test is scheduled for 24 August 2026 at 9:00 a.m.

4.     Final selection of successful scholarship candidates will be based on their performance in the admission test.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Successful applicants will be required to complete all registration formalities, including payment of registration and tuition fees where applicable, within the deadlines set by Mount Kigali University.
