SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS :
The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) offers several benefits to successful applicants in the second application round for the 2025 academic year:
• Financial aid ranges from *€3,000 to €22,000* for one year.
• Possible extension for the second year based on academic performance.
• Eligible for additional funding through the *Kipaji Scholarship* for students from low-income countries, including Rwanda.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) in the second application round for the 2025/2026 academic year, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Admission Status: You must have received an admission letter to one of the qualifying UT Master's programs starting in September 2025.
• Previous Education: Applicants should not have graduated from a UT undergraduate or graduate program.
• Nationality: The scholarship is open to non-EU/EEA students only.
• English Language Proficiency (if you don't study in English A minimum Academic): IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in the speaking section, or a TOEFL iBT score of 90, with a minimum of 20 in speaking, is required.
• Academic Excellence: Candidates should typically be among the top 5 to 10 percent of their class.
• Visa Requirements: Applicants must meet the conditions necessary to obtain an entry visa for the Netherlands, if applicable.
• Financial Support: You must not be eligible for a Dutch study loan.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
These are what you need to be eligible for this Scholarship;
1. You are a citizen of an African country.
2. You have applied for one of the master’s programs of Wageningen University & Research before the given deadline.
3. You are unconditionally admitted to this MSc program.
4. You are an excellent student with a First class honors degree and a GPA of 80% or higher in a bachelor's degree.
5. Preference is given to students who have not obtained a master’s degree Yet.

Typically, two letters from referees who can attest to your academic abilities, character, and potential.
6. Admission Letter
Proof of unconditional admission to an eligible Master’s program at Wageningen University.
7. English proficiency test results

The deadline to complete and submit the required assignment.
4. 8 April 2025
Shortlist announcement for online interviews (around 20 candidates).
5. 22 April – 1 May 2025
Online interviews are conducted via MS Teams.
6. 8 May 2025
Final results of the selection process communicated to applicants.
