MASTERCARD FULL SCHOLARSHIP AT EARTH UNIVERSITY (COSTA RICA IN NORTH AMERICA)
EARTH University is a private, non-profit university that offers a rigorous four-year undergraduate program in Agricultural Sciences, led by an international faculty that provides an education with solid scientific and technical foundations, with an emphasis on ethical values, entrepreneurship, and environmental and social commitment.
Since 2011, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at EARTH University provides educational opportunities to young people from disadvantaged communities in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In addition to providing scholarships for young leaders, the Program at EARTH integrates services such as mentoring, career counseling, service-learning opportunities, and internships. Following the successful completion of EARTH University's four-year program, the majority of Mastercard Foundation Scholars return to their countries as part of a growing movement of leaders committed to transforming global food systems and contributing to sustainable livelihoods across the continent. The Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program at EARTH University offers a comprehensive scholarship package designed to support talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Here are the main benefits of the scholarship:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The eligibility criteria for the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship at EARTH University generally include the following requirements:
1. Nationality: While students from various countries are encouraged to apply, there is a particular focus on candidates from Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
2. Age Requirement: The scholarship is primarily aimed at young students who have completed high school. Typically, applicants should be under 30 years of age.
3. Academic requirements: there is no specific qualification to pass or to apply to the admission process. Earth's admission process focuses on the capabilities of each applicant, taking into account high school grades, letters of recommendation, interviews, exams, and psychometric tests.
4. Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need is a key requirement. The scholarship aims to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who would not otherwise have the means to afford higher education.
5. Commitment to Service: Applicants should show a commitment to giving back to their communities. This can be demonstrated through community service, leadership, or engagement in social initiatives.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
• Three recommendation letters from non-family members
• Your high school reports (from grade 10 to grade 12)
• Your high school diploma
• Supporting documents (like certificates of foreign language, clubs, special achievements, awards, completion of courses or training, etc.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?
Firstly, you have to apply for the admission process where you have to open the scholarship link we gave you at the bottom, create an account with your email, and then wait for the admission office to email you with the information about the next steps to finish your application.
To apply for financial aid, you must first pass the admissions process (exams, interviews), and then your ability to pay tuition will be determined through socioeconomic study.
This Scholarship is awarded only to students who would otherwise be unable to attend a higher education institution and who have successfully approved the admissions process with high scores. Over 1,000 applications are received each year for a full scholarship, of which on average only 50 are awarded.
