ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Must have completed high school or equivalent qualification.
• Must be aged 16 years old or older
• Strong academic performance.
• Passion for leadership, innovation, and impact.
• Good English language skills.
• Must be committed to attending classes on campus in Rwanda.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• Having taken a minimum of 3 A-level subjects or equivalent with principal pass, with a C average or better on the 3 courses selected. The average is derived from at least one core course, which are Mathematics, integrated science, Biology, Chemu, Physics, history, sociology, economics, geography, English, literature and entrepreneurship

• An equivalence certificate is required from all applicants whose final/national examination results have not been issued by Rwanda’s National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA)

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS:
You can choose among these available programs at the ALU Campus located in Rwanda:

• Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Leadership (BSc EL)
• Bachelor of Software Engineering (BSE)
• BSc (Hons) International Business and Trade

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• Copy of high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Academic transcripts of high school
• National ID or Passport.
• Personal statement (essay about yourself and your goals).
• Proof of English proficiency (if applicable). if you don’t have one, you will have to sit for ALU Free English Proficiency test. watch how to book the test here

• Bank or Momo statement for 3 recent months (Historic) for your parents or your guardians
• Confirmation letter or a formal letter from the employer of your Parent or the person whose Statement is provided.
• Annual high school tuition fees document. Watch in this video how this document looks like

• Sponsorship document (from the organization or a benefactor who used to pay for your school fees if any)
• Death certificate if any parent died.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• ALU uses a rolling admissions system, meaning applications are reviewed as they come in.
• Early applications are highly encouraged to increase your chances of receiving a scholarship.
• Support services are available for new students to adjust smoothly to university life.

• The application deadline for September intake is closing 1 July, 2025
• The application deadline for January intake is closing 1 November 2025
