Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) is inviting qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Public Relations and Communication Officer. The selected candidate will work under contract and report directly to the Director General. The role focuses on strengthening the institute’s public image, managing communication strategies, and enhancing relationships with stakeholders and the public.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must hold any of the following Bachelor’s degrees:

  • International Relations

  • Communication

  • Journalism

  • Marketing

  • Linguistics and Literature

Experience:

  • 0 years of relevant experience required (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)

  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English (knowledge of French is an added advantage)

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

  • Public Relations and Communication Officer (1 Position)

  • Contract-based employment

  • Reports to: Director General

  • Selection process includes:

    • Psychometric Test

    • Written Exam

    • Oral Interview

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and budget annual media and communication plans

  • Design targeted messages for different audiences

  • Negotiate contracts with radio and TV media for message dissemination

  • Maintain relationships with public institutions and partners

  • Monitor and implement communication plans

  • Organize surveys and opinion polls on institutional services

  • Collect, analyze, and report survey results and public feedback

  • Recommend strategies to improve institutional image

  • Organize and participate in press conferences and media events

  • Write speeches, press releases, and official messages

  • Prepare newspaper articles on institutional achievements

  • Monitor media publications about the institution and prepare analytical reports

  • Strengthen internal communication among staff

  • Inform staff about decisions, meetings, and institutional agendas

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor related to the role
