STUDENT SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY FOR MUSLIM LEARNERS IN KIGALI The Rwanda Muslim Community (RMC), in collaboration with the organization Espoir de l’Avenir (EDA), has introduced a new support initiative aimed at helping Muslim male students studying in universities across Kigali City. This program is designed to provide financial and educational assistance to students facing economic challenges, while also promoting Islamic values and community development.

As part of its ongoing mission, RMC continues to champion education and empowerment within the Muslim community. Through this partnership with EDA, the institution seeks to build a generation of educated, skilled, and responsible young Muslims equipped to contribute to both faith and nation-building. ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The support initiative focuses on three key areas:
• Educational assistance to help students manage learning materials and study-related costs.
• Living support to assist with essential daily needs and welfare.
• Vocational and professional training to prepare students with practical skills for future employment and self-reliance.
This opportunity is specifically intended for students who show academic potential and dedication to Islamic principles but lack sufficient financial resources.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a first-year university student enrolled in a higher learning institution within Kigali City.
2. Have scored at least 70% in the National Examination that concludes secondary education.
3. Be a practicing Muslim who regularly reads the Qur’an. Married applicants should have completed or be completing at least one Juz’ of the Qur’an.
4. Demonstrate financial hardship or limited access to Islamic programs and community support services.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Students applying for this support program must include the following:
• A formal application letter addressed to the Mufti of Rwanda.
• A copy of the National ID or valid student card.
• A copy of academic transcripts or examination results showing at least 70%.
• A recommendation letter from a local mosque or community leader confirming the applicant’s Islamic practice and character.
• Any other proof of financial need (if available).

HOW TO APPLY
Interested students should submit their application letters and required documents to the Rwanda Muslim Community Head Office before the deadline.
