For students who have been approved for financial assistance, signing your student loan and bursary contract is the final and most important step before receiving your tuition support and living allowances. This process officially confirms your status as a beneficiary and ensures your funds are properly allocated to your account

The Student Loan and Bursary Program is managed by the Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD) through its digital platform MINUZA. BRD plays a key role in supporting higher education in Rwanda by providing affordable loans and bursaries to help students pursue their academic dreams. Working in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education, universities, and service providers such as MTN and Airtel, BRD ensures a transparent and efficient financial aid process for all eligible students.

WHAT STUDENTS SHOULD EXPECT
Once approved, beneficiaries gain access to a secure and fully digital process on the MINUZA platform. Through this system, students can easily review and sign their contracts online, confirm payment details, and track the release of funds.
The financial package typically includes both living allowances and tuition fee coverage, deposited directly into approved student accounts. With BRD’s system, every transaction is traceable, ensuring safety and accountability.

GETTING READY TO SIGN
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
• Your National ID card
• A valid email address and phone number registered under your NID
• A bank account, MTN, or Airtel Mobile Money account in your name
• Contact details (email and phone number) of your guardian or parent
Once you have these ready, you can begin your contract signing process.

HOW TO SIGN YOUR CONTRACT
1. Create Your Account
• Visit the official MINUZA application link.
• Click “Sign Up” and fill in all required details.
• Review and agree to the terms and conditions, then click “Create Account.”

2. Sign Your Contract
• Log in and select your package (Living Allowances + Tuition Fees).
• Review the contract carefully.
• Click “Confirm and Submit” to complete your signing process.
Once submitted, your signed contract will be reviewed and processed by BRD. Funds will then be disbursed according to the approved schedule
