JALI PARTNERS is inviting applications from qualified and motivated candidates for five paid internship positions in accounting. Headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, JALI PARTNERS is a professional accounting firm providing services in accounting, tax advisory, business planning, loan facilitation, and training for companies and organizations across various sectors including transport, hospitality, manufacturing, education, ICT, and energy. The firm is regulated by the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and operates a subsidiary audit firm, AWO PARTNERS, regulated by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR).

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or completion of studies awaiting graduation;

·       Qualified or pursuing CPA, ACCA, or other IFAC-accredited accounting programs from advanced level;

·       Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda;

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;

·       Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and demonstrate integrity and critical thinking skills;

·       At least one year of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field;

·       Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks Online, or other cloud-based accounting software;

·       Familiarity with the RRA e-tax system;

·       Experience preparing audit reports using MS Excel, Word, or financial reporting software;

·       Previous experience in accounting firms is an added advantage but not mandatory.

 

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Position: Paid Intern Accountants

·       Number of Positions: 5

·       Location: Kigali, Rwanda

·       Duration: 1–6 months internship

·       Reporting To: Senior Accountants

·       Opportunity for permanent employment after internship based on performance.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected interns will support senior accountants while gaining hands-on professional experience. Responsibilities include:

·       Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients;

·       Preparing and reviewing statutory filings to RRA, RSSB, and RDB;

·       Participating in annual financial audits and audit reporting;

·       Assisting in yearly financial compilations;

·       Supporting audit planning and execution;

·       Providing tax advisory support on tax risks and opportunities;

·       Assisting clients in solving accounting and fiscal challenges;

·       Preparing contracts and proposals;

·       Advising on improvements to internal accounting procedures;

·       Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.
