The scholarship is offered by Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), a specialized graduate-level research university based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Successful full-time students can receive comprehensive financial support, including tuition, accommodation, health insurance, visa sponsorship, and a monthly stipend.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

·       Be an international applicant or UAE resident eligible for the relevant program.

·       For Master’s applicants, hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, such as:

o   Computer Science

o   Electrical Engineering

o   Computer Engineering

o   Mathematics

o   Physics

o   Other relevant science and engineering fields.

·       Have a minimum CGPA of 3.2/4.0 or equivalent.

·       Hold a degree from a university accredited or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.

·       Submit completed degree certificates and official academic transcripts.

·       Final-year students may initially apply using an official transcript and expected graduation letter, but must provide the completed degree certificate and final transcript upon admission.

·       Provide valid IELTS Academic or TOEFL iBT results, unless exempted.

·       PhD applicants should demonstrate a strong academic and research background and an interest in contributing to science and humanity through advanced research.

·       PhD applicants should have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another relevant science or engineering field.

·       Applicants should have a strong background in both theoretical and applied aspects of Computer Science, where applicable.

·       A minimum CGPA of 3.2/4.0 or equivalent is required for the relevant degree(s).

·       A valid GRE General Test score is mandatory for applicants applying to a PhD program with only a Bachelor’s degree.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As graduate students, scholarship recipients are expected to:

·       Maintain strong academic performance throughout their studies.

·       Comply with MBZUAI's academic and university regulations.

·       Follow the university's code of conduct.

·       Participate actively in academic and research activities.

·       Meet the requirements associated with maintaining the scholarship and its financial benefits.

·       For PhD students, undertake advanced research and contribute to scientific knowledge through research and academic work.

The MBZUAI scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for eligible full-time students. The benefits include:

·       UAE visa sponsorship for non-UAE nationals

·       Monthly stipend, subject to university rules and regulations

For international and UAE-resident students, the stated monthly stipends are:

·       Master’s: AED 15,500 per month

·       PhD: AED 18,500 per month

·       Married PhD students may request to live off campus and, subject to approval and official documentation, may receive an additional AED 7,500 housing allowance.

Scholarship benefits are subject to the university's regulations, and students must maintain the required academic standing and comply with university policies to continue receiving them.
