Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) is Rwanda's public broadcaster, dedicated to delivering quality content that promotes cultural values, socio-economic development, and citizen participation. The successful candidates will join the RTV Department and contribute to RBA's public service broadcasting mission.
 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Hold an A1 Degree or Certificate of Competence in Journalism, Multimedia Production, Event Video, Video Communication, Film Production, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Broadcasting, Communication, or a related field.

·       Have 2 to 5 years of experience in television journalism, multimedia reporting, or video production.

·       Experience in a broadcast newsroom is an added advantage.

·       Demonstrate proficiency in camera operation, video editing, audio recording, lighting techniques, mobile journalism (MoJo), and digital publishing tools.

·       Have knowledge of journalism principles, media law, broadcasting regulations, television production, and digital media.

·       Fluency in written and spoken English and/or French is an added advantage.

·       Possess excellent communication, teamwork, creativity, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to work under pressure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

·       Researching, developing, and reporting news and feature stories.

·       Covering breaking news, scheduled events, and special assignments.

·       Conducting interviews with stakeholders and subject matter experts.

·       Verifying facts to ensure accurate, balanced, and impartial reporting.

·       Operating cameras, audio, lighting, and mobile journalism equipment.

·       Producing live and recorded television reports.

·       Writing news scripts, voice-overs, and story treatments.

·       Editing video packages using professional editing software.

·       Producing multimedia content for digital and social media platforms.

·       Ensuring compliance with editorial policies, journalistic ethics, and broadcasting regulations.

·       Collaborating with producers, editors, presenters, and technical teams.

·       Participating in editorial meetings and performing other assigned duties.
