Applications are now open for funded scholarship opportunities in health programs offered by Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri (INES-Ruhengeri) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Rwanda under the framework of the 4×4 Strategy. The scholarship initiative is designed to strengthen Rwanda’s health workforce by supporting talented students in health sciences. It is implemented through the partnership between INES-Ruhengeri and the Ministry of Health, with selected beneficiaries expected to contribute to the national health system after graduation. 
 

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful applicants will receive:

·       Full scholarship support for selected health programs

·       Tuition fee coverage

·       Opportunity to study Bachelor of Science programs at INES-Ruhengeri

·       Professional training in priority health sectors

·       Employment commitment pathway in the health system after graduation through a signed agreement with the Ministry of Health 
 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Must have completed Advanced Level (S6) secondary education or equivalent.

·       Must have studied one of the following combinations:

o   Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB)

o   Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology (MCB)

o   Biology-Chemistry-Geography (BCG)

o   Associate Nursing Programs

Additional requirements:

·       Applicants must satisfy the admission requirements set by Higher Education Council (HEC) and INES-Ruhengeri.

·       Eligible candidates will participate in an admission test.

·       Final selection will be based on performance in the admission test.

Applicants who are already benefiting from another government or partner-funded scholarship, or those who have already completed another university-level program, are not eligible to apply. 
 

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

The scholarship is available for the following Bachelor programs:

1. Bachelor of Science with Honors in Anesthesia

• Duration: 4 years

2. Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences

• Duration: 4 years 
   

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants are required to submit:

·       Copy of S6 Certificate (Diploma or Results Slip)

·       Copy of National ID or Passport

·       Other required information during the online application process 
 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Interested candidates should follow these steps:

1.     Visit the INES-Ruhengeri online application portal.

2.     Create an applicant account or log in.

3.     Select the scholarship application option.

4.     Upload the required documents.

5.     Submit the application before the deadline.

Applications are submitted through the official INES-Ruhengeri admission portal. 
 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

·       Selected scholarship beneficiaries will sign an agreement with the Ministry of Health requiring them to serve in the health sector for a specified period after completing their studies.

·       Applicants should ensure that all submitted information is accurate, as false information may lead to disqualification.
