ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants should meet the qualifications and experience required for their respective positions, including:

·       Blaster Assistant

o   High School Certificate or a Certificate in Blasting.

o   At least 1 year of experience in handling explosives and preparing shot holes.

o   Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

o   Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to work overtime.

·       Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Section Leader

o   Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.

o   Experience in occupational health and safety management, incident investigations, reporting, compliance, and safety training.

o   Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

·       Chief Blaster Officer

o   Diploma in Mining or a related field.

o   Valid Certificate in Blasting.

o   Minimum 3 years of experience working with explosives in mining operations.

o   Excellent communication, leadership, professionalism, and organizational skills.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

·       Blaster Assistant – 1 Position

·       Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Section Leader – 1 Position

·       Chief Blaster Officer – 1 Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will be responsible for duties including:

Blaster Assistant

·       Assist in receiving, issuing, storing, and recording explosives.

·       Prepare primers, charging, timing, and support blasting operations.

·       Maintain accurate explosives records and inventory.

·       Ensure safe handling, storage, and return of unused explosives.

·       Maintain housekeeping and comply with company safety procedures.

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Section Leader

·       Develop and implement occupational health and safety systems.

·       Lead incident investigations and monitor corrective actions.

·       Prepare OHS reports and maintain safety databases.

·       Deliver safety training and awareness programs.

·       Conduct workplace inspections and promote a strong safety culture.

·       Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.

·       Collaborate with departments to improve workplace health and safety.

Chief Blaster Officer

·       Supervise all blasting operations and explosives management.

·       Ensure compliance with Rwanda mining, explosives, and occupational safety regulations.

·       Manage explosives storage, transportation, and issuance.

·       Conduct blasting audits and monitor explosives usage.

·       Prepare operational reports and explosives forecasts.

·       Ensure the safety of employees, equipment, and the surrounding environment.
