The scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico (SRE) through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID). ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the Government of Mexico Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:

·       Be international students who are not residing in Mexico.

·       Demonstrate outstanding academic performance.

·       Have a strong interest in research and academic excellence.

·       Be willing to undertake full-time studies at an eligible Mexican institution.

·       Meet the admission requirements of the selected academic program.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants must prepare the following documents:

·       Completed and signed scholarship application form.

·       Motivation letter explaining reasons for studying or conducting research in Mexico (maximum 2 pages).

·       Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) (maximum 3 pages).

·       Academic acceptance letter from a Mexican higher education institution or proof of admission application.

·       Letter of commitment to return to the country of origin after studies.

·       Letter accepting the terms and conditions of the scholarship.

·       Birth certificate copy.

·       Valid passport copy or government-issued identification document.

·       Medical certificate issued within the last three months confirming good health.

·       Proof of Spanish language proficiency at a minimum B2 level (for applicants whose native language is not Spanish).

·       Declaration confirming that all information provided is truthful.

·       Certified Spanish translations of all required documents if originally issued in another language.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Interested applicants should follow these steps:

1.     Visit the Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA) application portal.

2.     Complete the online scholarship application form.

3.     Upload all required documents in the prescribed format.

4.     Submit only one application, as multiple submissions are not permitted.

5.     Applicants holding multiple nationalities must apply under only one eligible nationality.

6.     Ensure that the selected academic program is included in the scholarship's approved academic offer.

7.     Review all information carefully before final submission.

Only complete applications submitted before the deadline will be evaluated.
