DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Pumps Workshop Operators

·       Install water pumps and treatment equipment.

·       Conduct routine maintenance and repairs.

·       Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.

·       Maintain maintenance logs and reports.

·       Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness.

 

Required Qualifications

A2 or Advanced Diploma in:

 

·       Welding

·       Manufacturing

·       General Mechanics

·       Electricity

·       Electrical Technology

·       Electromechanical

·       Production Technology

 

2. Metering Workshop Operators

·       Calibrate, test, and repair water meters.

·       Maintain inventory and calibration records.

·       Support field meter installation activities.

·       Conduct quality assurance checks.

 

Required Qualifications

A2 or Advanced Diploma in:

 

·       Instrumentation

·       Electronics and Telecommunications

·       Plumbing

·       Electromechanical

·       General Mechanics

·       Manufacturing Technology

·       Production Technology

 

3. Water Technicians – Plumbers

·       Install and maintain pipelines, valves, and plumbing fixtures.

·       Connect new customers to water networks.

·       Detect and repair leaks and pipe bursts.

·       Conduct inspections and prepare reports.

 

Required Qualifications

A2 or Advanced Diploma in:

 

·       Water Works

·       Water Engineering

·       Construction

·       Public Works

·       Plumbing

·       Masonry

·       General Mechanics

Having a Driving License Category A is an added advantage.

 

4. Laboratory Technicians

·       Perform laboratory testing and water quality analysis.

·       Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment.

·       Conduct microbiological and physico-chemical tests.

·       Maintain laboratory records and reports.

 

Required Qualifications

A2 or Advanced Diploma in:

 

·       Chemistry and Biology Sciences

·       Biotechnology

·       Environmental Sciences

5. Water Purifiers

·       Operate and monitor water treatment processes.

·       Maintain purification systems.

·       Monitor purification performance and report issues.

·       Ensure safe water supply to the public.

·       Biotechnology

·       Perform maintenance of electro-mechanical systems.

·       Troubleshoot and repair faults.

7. Pump Attendant Operators

·       Operate and maintain water pumping systems.

·       Monitor gauges, meters, and pump performance.

·       Perform maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting.

·       Maintain accurate operational records.
