SheCanCODE is inviting young women to apply for the Java Backend Associate Program under the Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) initiative. The program is fully sponsored by Mastercard Foundation and Digital Opportunity Trust, making it completely free of charge for selected participants.Register now for new programs at MK SCHOLARS

This intensive two-month program is designed to equip participants with advanced Java backend development skills while preparing them for employment opportunities. Successful graduates will also receive support in securing jobs after completing the training. Participants will attend both in-person and remote sessions and will receive a stipend during the program period.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

·       Be a young woman

·       Be an alumna or final-year student

·       Have advanced Java programming skills

·       Be able to build understandable REST APIs

·       Possess problem-solving skills

·       Be ready to fully commit to the intensive program

·       Be available for both in-person and remote sessions

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

·       Java Backend Associate Trainee

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Participate actively in all training sessions

·       Attend in-person classes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

·       Complete backend development assignments and projects

·       Collaborate with fellow participants and mentors

·       Demonstrate commitment, discipline, and professionalism throughout the program

·       Apply Java backend development skills in practical exercises

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

·       Updated CV/Resume

·       Academic transcript or proof of final-year status

·       Any relevant certificates in programming or software development

·       Identification document

·       Completed application form
