PLAY International is inviting applications for the position of Pedagogical Assistant under a 12-month local contract in Rwanda. PLAY International, a French NGO founded in 1999, works to address social challenges through sport-based education programs. With operations in over 20 countries and active presence in Rwanda since 2024, the organization focuses on inclusion, gender equality, education access, and health awareness. The role will be based in Kigali (Gasabo), with regular travel to intervention districts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for this position, applicants must:

·       Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, Sports Management, or Social Sciences

·       Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in training delivery, pedagogy, or community-based program implementation

·       Demonstrate experience working on child-focused projects such as education, safeguarding, or youth development

·       Possess strong facilitation, training, and communication skills

·       Be proficient in Microsoft Office and tools like Google Workspace or Canva

·       Be fluent in Kinyarwanda and English (French is an added advantage)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Pedagogical Assistant will be responsible for:

·       Supporting the development and adaptation of pedagogical content and training tools

·       Delivering training sessions to coaches, teachers, and educators

·       Monitoring and supporting facilitators through field visits and evaluation tools

·       Contributing to monitoring and evaluation systems, including data collection and reporting

·       Organizing and facilitating sports-based educational activities and community events

·       Supporting communication efforts through storytelling and activity reports

·       Assisting in the follow-up and evaluation of trained participants and project outcomes
