The company is currently inviting qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Chef. This role is based in Akagera National Park and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment that supports both conservation and tourism excellence.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Rwandan nationality

·       Professional culinary certificate with at least a high school diploma

·       Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a professional kitchen

·       Strong skills in food preparation (hot kitchen and pastry)

·       Good communication skills in English or French (both is an advantage)

·       Valid Certificate of Good Conduct

·       Ability to work in remote and high-pressure environments

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Prepare and cook meals using various cooking techniques (grilling, frying, baking, etc.)

·       Follow recipes to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation

·       Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards

·       Handle food storage and proper food safety procedures

·       Work closely with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations

·       Manage time effectively during busy service periods

·       Present and garnish dishes professionally

·       Handle special dietary needs and customer requests

·       Control stock and minimize food wastage

·       Contribute to menu planning and execution

·       Coordinate effectively with service staff
