The airline invites applications for the position of Manager Corporate Strategic Projects, a critical role in driving strategic initiatives and maximizing value from company investments.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications and experience:

·       Master’s Degree in Project Management (preferable).

·       Advanced Project Management training (IATA).

·       Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2).

·       Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the airline industry, including at least 2 years in project delivery affecting multiple departments or the entire company.

·       Proven strategic project management leadership experience, ideally within an airline.

·       Experience in vendor management, risk management, people management, and change management.

·       Expertise in project management, strategic/business planning, performance measurement, process design, and corporate governance.

·       Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, MS Office, and WBS Chart Pro.

·       Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

·       Deep knowledge of the transport/aviation industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager Corporate Strategic Projects will report to the Director, Corporate and Strategic Planning, and will be responsible for:

·       Initiating and managing all strategic projects.

·       Identifying and quantifying potential project opportunities and developing project plans.

·       Implementing and improving project management methodologies in alignment with RwandAir’s internal PMO governance.

·       Leading project tracking and reporting for schedule, budget, risks, resources, and performance metrics.

·       Collaborating with Finance and other departments to monitor revenue, costs, and ROI.

·       Evaluating technology initiatives and developing business cases.

·       Advising equity partner airlines on profit improvement projects.

·       Supporting departments in evaluating project initiatives for cost-effectiveness.

·       Ensuring alignment across departments, outsourced vendors, and stakeholders.

·       Translating business strategies into project roadmaps to achieve company strategic goals.

·       Organizing and leading project meetings, including defining schedules, budgets, resource plans, and change management plans.

·       Communicating project progress to teams, stakeholders, steering committees, and executives.

·       Assisting the Director Corporate and Strategic Planning with relevant duties.
