The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a Senior Midwife and play a vital role in ensuring safe pregnancy, labor, and postnatal care. The recruitment process will include psychometric, written, and oral examinations to ensure the best candidate is selected.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Hold an Advanced Diploma in Midwifery

·       Have 0 years of relevant experience (entry-level position)

·       Possess a valid license to practice issued by the professional council in Rwanda

·       Demonstrate strong professional competencies including:

o   Interpersonal and communication skills

o   Integrity, ethics, and confidentiality

o   Teamwork and coordination

o   Critical thinking and time management

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

·       Midwife (1 Position)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

·       Receiving and caring for mothers with empathy

·       Assessing maternal health and monitoring fetal well-being

·       Managing emergencies and conducting screening tests

·       Collaborating with physicians to develop care plans

·       Educating mothers on labor progress, pain relief, and delivery options

·       Identifying complications during labor and postpartum

·       Ensuring safety of both mother and newborn

·       Providing psychosocial support to families

·       Teaching student midwives

·       Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

·       Supporting postnatal care and recovery

·       Participating in patient handover and evaluation

·       Assisting in laboratory specimen transport

·       Maintaining hospital hygiene and contributing to quality improvement initiatives

·       Performing any other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
