ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

For Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering

·       Must hold a PhD in Aquaculture Engineering, Aquaculture, or Fisheries.

·       Must have at least two (2) publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals.

·       No prior work experience is required.

·       Must demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and research skills.

·       Fluency in the medium of instruction (English or French).

·       Knowledge of teaching methodologies, TVET policies, and blended learning approaches.

For Assistant Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering

·       Must hold a Master’s Degree in Aquaculture, Aquaculture Engineering, Aquatic Resource Management, or Fisheries.

·       Must have at least one (1) publication in peer-reviewed indexed journals.

·       No prior work experience is required.

·       Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills are required.

·       Fluency in the medium of instruction (English or French).

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

1. Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering – 1 Position
2. Assistant Lecturer in Agriculture Engineering – 1 Position

Both positions are based at RP Karongi College under Rwanda Polytechnic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected candidates will be responsible for the following:

·       Teaching and training students in Aquaculture and related fields.

·       Preparing lectures, course materials, and academic research.

·       Contributing to the development and implementation of high-quality curricula.

·       Participating in research and innovation activities.

·       Supervising and facilitating student projects and industrial attachments.

·       Mentoring junior teaching staff and students.

·       Engaging in community outreach and professional collaborations.

·       Supporting the digitalization of teaching and learning, including LMS and digital assessment tools.

·       Strengthening partnerships with industry and public institutions.

·       Providing technical advisory services to fish farmers, cooperatives, and SMEs.

·       Participating in curriculum design, review, and harmonization for Aquaculture Engineering programs.

·       Upholding academic integrity and institutional policies.

·       Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.
