SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

The University of Alberta Scholarship offers a range of awards for graduate students, including:

·       University of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship:

o   Master’s: $17,500/year

o   PhD: $21,000/year

o   Additional $10,000 applied to tuition and fees

·       Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) Department Award:

·       Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the University of Alberta Scholarship, applicants must:

·       Be newly admitted to a master’s or doctoral program in January, May, July, or September 2026

·       Maintain full-time enrollment during the award tenure

·       Meet English language proficiency requirements (IELTS, TOEFL, CAEL, Duolingo, or Pearson)

·       Note: Students cannot switch between thesis-based and course-based programs once awarded
