Applications are now open for the Government of Rwanda – Singapore (NTU) Master’s Scholarships Programme 2026. This prestigious opportunity invites outstanding Rwandan students to apply for fully funded Master’s degree studies at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore starting in August 2026. This scholarship initiative is a collaboration between the Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Education and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The program was created to train Rwandan professionals in cutting-edge technologies such as Smart Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Materials Science & Engineering to support Rwanda’s ambitious growth and innovation agenda.

 

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful applicants who receive nomination from the University of Rwanda or other recognized higher learning institutions will be awarded a full scholarship, which includes:

·       Full tuition fees coverage

·       Travel expenses

·       Living allowances during the period of study

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·       Must be a Rwandan student.

·       Must be nominated by the University of Rwanda or another higher learning institution.

·       Must have completed or be graduating from a Bachelor’s degree in Rwanda.

·       Must have studied an undergraduate program related to the chosen Master’s program.

·       Must have completed the required undergraduate modules depending on the selected course.

 

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

The scholarship supports the following Master’s Degree programs at NTU Singapore:

1. Master of Science in Smart Manufacturing

Undergraduate preparation should include:

·       Mechanical Engineering modules

·       Mathematics or Physics foundation courses

·       Manufacturing course modules

Learning framework:

·       13 weeks of teaching

·       3 hours of lectures per week

·       Students participate in lectures, project-based assignments, quizzes, and final exams.

2. Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence

Required undergraduate background includes modules such as:

·       Linear Algebra

·       Probability and Statistics

·       Calculus

·       Machine Learning

·       Programming (Python, Java, C, or C++)

·       Image Processing or Computer Vision

Learning framework:

·       Courses include quizzes, projects, reports, and presentations

·       Estimated academic commitment includes 3 lecture hours per week over 13 weeks (39 hours total).

3. Master of Science in Materials Science & Engineering

Requirements:

·       Undergraduate major in Materials Science Engineering.

Learning framework:

·       Postgraduate courses are elective-based.

·       Tutorials are optional, and course timetables are provided by the department.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants must:

·       Evidence of a completed Undergraduate (UG) degree in a related field.Submit an online application through the NTU admission portal.

·       Academic transcripts showing the completion of specific required modules
. Official nomination from the University of Rwanda or another recognized higher learning institution.

2.     Select the relevant Master’s program at Nanyang Technological University.

3.     Submit the online application through the NTU admission portal.

4.     Ensure the application is submitted before the stated deadline.
