BKreative is a national initiative led by Bank of Kigali in partnership with the Ministry of Youth & Arts and BK Foundation. It aims to support and grow Rwanda’s creative economy by helping creatives access markets, financial services, payments, and business development opportunities.REGISTER NOW for new programs at MK SCHOLARS 

To establish a strong and lasting brand, Bank of Kigali is inviting creatives across Rwanda to design the official logo and visual identity for BKreative. The selected design will represent a platform that supports creative entrepreneurs and helps them grow from talent into sustainable businesses.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

·        Open to creatives aged 18 years and above.

·        Must be Rwandan nationals or legally operating in Rwanda.

·        Must be residing and working within Rwanda.

·        Open to individual designers, illustrators, visual artists, and youth-led creative studios or companies.

·        Employees of the Ministry of Youth & Arts, Bank of Kigali, BK Foundation, evaluation committee members, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

·        Only one submission per participant (individual or entity) is allowed.

·        Organizers may request proof of eligibility at any stage.

APPLICATION BENEFITS

·        Cash awards totaling RWF 10,000,000 for the top three winners:

o   1st Place: RWF 5,000,000

o   2nd Place: RWF 3,000,000

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected designer(s) will be required to develop a full visual identity system, including:

·        Primary and secondary logos

·        Responsive/icon versions

·        Black & white and monochrome versions

·        Colour palette (HEX/RGB/CMYK values)

·        Typography system

·        Graphic elements and illustrations

·        Photography style and visual direction

·        Brand guidelines with correct and incorrect usage

·        Sample applications such as social media and digital mockups

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants must submit:

·        PDF of the proposed design

·        A short explanation of the design concept/approach

·        Team composition (if applying as a group)

·        Portfolio or relevant case studies

·        Demonstration of how the identity works as a system, not just a logo
