Rwamagana District (RWAMAGANA) is pleased to invite qualified and competent candidates to apply for the position of Data Manager. This recruitment aims to strengthen data management, reporting, and decision-making processes within health centers across the district.REGISTER NOW for new programs at MK SCHOLARS
The successful candidates will be based in health facilities and will play a key role in collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting health data in line with national health information systems and district objectives. A total of three (3) positions are available.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Hold at least one of the required academic qualifications listed below.
- Have 0 years of relevant work experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Be proficient in data management tools and computer applications.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
- Position Title: Data Manager
- Number of Posts: 3
- Duty Station: Rwamagana District (Health Centers)
- Reports To: Head of Health Center A0/A1
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Summary of Overall Role and Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and analyze data in accordance with health center management plans and procedures.
- Ensure that staff understand and appropriately use collected data for planning and decision-making.
II. Key Duties and Tasks
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of data collected at health facilities.
- Supervise and guide staff involved in data collection and tabulation.
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and produce hospital statistics.
- Prepare and present statistical analysis results using graphs, charts, and tables.
- Consolidate statistical reports from various services, departments, and projects.
- Produce reports on births, deaths, audits, disease surveillance, and other HMIS requirements.
- Perform data entry and actively participate in internal and external data quality assessments.
- Supervise health centers within the catchment area to verify data reliability and quality.
- Participate in operational research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Ability to identify and correct data inconsistencies.
- Creativity, innovation, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills with colleagues and partners.
IV. Key Performance Indicators
- Timely monthly data submission in HMIS.
- Monthly data quality review coordination meetings with documented minutes.
- Annual hospital performance report prepared and submitted.
