In line with the government of Rwanda's 4*4 reform and through ongoing partnerships with Addis Ababa University and St. Paul's Millennium Medical College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Ministry of Health aims to recruit and send the second Cohort of Rwandan medical trainees to various Postgraduate Programs at the training mentioned above institutions. This initiative complements the maximized training slots in the residency programs in Rwanda.

Addis Ababa University is a national university located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is the oldest and the largest higher learning and research institution in Ethiopia. Since its inception, the University has been the leading center in teaching-learning, research, and community services.

St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College is a Health Sciences teaching institution at St. Paul Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. After completing the anticipated training, these Rwandan trainees will be issued an MMed or an equivalent degree recognized by the relevant authorities, including the Rwanda Medical & Dental Council and the Higher Education Council of Rwanda.

1. Specialty in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery ( MD or BDS) (Four years of training)

3. Specialty in General Surgery (Four years of training)

5. Specialty in Orthopedic Surgery (Four years of training)
6. Specialty in Pediatric Surgery (Five years of training)
7. Specialty in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (Three years of training)
8. Specialty in Thoracic Surgery (Five years of training)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1. Be Rwanda by nationality
2. Hold a degree of Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
3. Hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent for Specialty in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (MBBS holders are also eligible for this track).
4. Hold a valid License to practice issued by the Rwanda Medical & Dental Council at the time of the program commencement
5. Must not be enrolled in any other residency program at the University of Rwanda or African Health Sciences University.
6. Strong track record of clinical skills and growth.
7. Demonstrated exemplary performance in his/her clinical practice.
8. Fluency in oral and written English is required
9. Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
10. Flexible, with a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to diverse cultural settings.
11. Female candidates are particularly welcome to apply to ensure gender equity in specialized medical careers.
