The MuLaKiLa Project is seeking motivated individuals who are ready to work in the field and support large-scale tree planting activities.

The Allertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS Network) is an environmental non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing biodiversity conservation and sustainable development across the Albertine Rift region. Through its MuLaKiLa Project, ARCOS works closely with communities to restore ecosystems, promote green growth, and strengthen climate resilience. As part of the project’s ongoing activities, ARCOS is recruiting temporary field staff to support tree planting operations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

For A2-Level Field Assistants
• Minimum A2 (secondary school) education.
• Must reside in or near the target cell (Ngororero or Rutsiro Districts).
• Experience in community or environmental activities is an added advantage.

For A0-Level Field Technicians
• Bachelor’s degree (A0) in Environmental Studies, Forestry, Agriculture, or related fields.
• Previous experience in field coordination, data collection, or similar tasks is highly preferred.
• Strong technical, reporting, and coordination skills.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1. A2-Level Field Assistants – 160 Positions
• Location: Ngororero & Rutsiro Districts
• Deployment: 4 Assistants per cell
• Duration: Mid-November to end of December 2025
• Daily Allowance: 5,000 RWF (paid after every 15 working days)
I. 1,000 RWF for refreshment
II. 4,000 RWF for transport

2. A0-Level Field Technicians – 80 Positions
• Location: Ngororero & Rutsiro Districts
• Duration: During the planting season
• Daily Allowance: 15,000 RWF (paid after every 15 working days)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A2-Level Field Assistants
• Assist in seedling distribution and tree planting activities.
• Support daily reporting of planting progress.

A0-Level Field Technicians
• Coordinate and supervise tree planting activities.
• Ensure accurate field data collection through the MIS system.
• Provide daily technical guidance to field assistants.
