The University of Rwanda (UR) has officially opened applications for hostel accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic year. This opportunity is designed for all incoming Year One students who wish to secure on-campus housing at any of the UR campuses.

The application period runs from 23rd to 27th October 2025, and all submissions must be completed online before the deadline. As Rwanda’s largest and most recognized public higher education institution, the University of Rwanda offers a supportive academic and living environment to thousands of students each year. The university’s hostel system provides safe, affordable, and convenient accommodation, enabling new students to settle into campus life smoothly and focus on their studies.
In addition to housing, students living in hostels gain access to essential campus services and facilities, fostering a vibrant and collaborative learning atmosphere.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Applications are open to:
• Newly admitted Year One students at any UR campus.
• Students who complete the online hostel application form accurately and submit it before the deadline.
Accommodation will be provided according to UR’s official prioritization and allocation guidelines, with preference given to students who meet all requirements and submit early.

HOW TO APPLY FOR HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
1. Visit the official hostel application portal via the link provided at the bottom of this page.
2. Log in or create an account using your UR student credentials.
3. Complete the online application form with correct and up-to-date information.
4. Review all details carefully before submission to avoid disqualification.
5. Submit your application no later than midnight on 27th October 2025.

Before applying, ensure you have:
• Proof of admission to the University of Rwanda.
• Personal identification details (as required in the online form).
• Any additional supporting information requested during the process.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Due to limited hostel space, not all applicants will be accommodated. The university will allocate rooms based on published selection criteria, and successful applicants will be notified through official university communication channels.
Students are encouraged to apply early and ensure all information is accurate to increase their chances of being considered.

Deadline: 27th October 2025 (by midnight)
