SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
• No Application Fee: Applicants pay no fee to apply for the scholarship.
• No IELTS Requirement: English test may be waived if prior education was in English.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship at UC Berkeley, applicants must:
• Be a citizen of an African country.
• Apply to an eligible UC Berkeley master’s program
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and community service experience.
• Show a strong academic record.
• Commit to returning to Africa after studies to contribute to development.

2. Submit your graduate program application in the first round.
3. If admitted, you may be nominated for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
4. Submit additional scholarship documents if requested.
5. Await nomination results and further instructions..
