The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University, is offering this scholarship to train 120 African students at the master’s level between 2025 and 2030. The program is a two-year, full-time, on-campus graduate study based in Phoenix, Arizona, with a strong focus on technology, innovation, and sustainable development. SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
The scholarship will cover:
• Visa application costs
• English language test fees
• Application processing fees
• Airfare to and from Phoenix, Arizona
• Full tuition, books, and fees
• Medical expenses
• On-campus housing
• Participation in leadership and mentorship activities

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must:
• Be a citizen of an African country.
• Be aged between 18 and 33 by the deadline (14 September 2025).
• Have completed an undergraduate degree by August 2026.
• Have not started or completed another graduate degree before August 2026.
• Show strong academic performance and leadership experience.
• Be committed to ethical leadership and community service.
• Be able to live in Phoenix, Arizona, for the full program.
• Demonstrate financial need.

Note: Applicants should not apply directly to ASU for admission. Only shortlisted candidates will be guided through the ASU admission process after the scholarship review.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview (phone or video call).
• Final scholarship decisions will be announced in February 2026.
• Successful applicants will travel to Phoenix, Arizona, in August 2026 to begin their studies.
• Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
