ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences – with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Diploma in Laboratory Science, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Diploma in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Diploma (A1) in Medical Laboratory Technology, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, a registration certificate, and a valid license to practice laboratory by the council in Rwanda.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Laboratory Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform laboratory analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, stool, sputum, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and other biological samples.
• Perform and document quality control procedures for all laboratory tests.
• Enter medical test data and clinical results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Establish and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols.
• Process and report specimens in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor and record room and refrigerator temperatures regularly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free working environment.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures and perform any assigned tasks within the laboratory department.
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain reusable laboratory materials, including culture media.
• Clean, dry, and sterilize all laboratory materials requiring sterilization.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
•Valid License to practice issued professional council in Rwanda.
