ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
• Must not hold Australian permanent residency.
• Must be applying for a full-time Master’s or PhD by research at Flinders University.
• Must be starting the first higher degree by research in 2026.
• Must have a strong academic background (usually First-Class Honours or equivalent).
• Must have completed at least four years of tertiary education.
• Must have an informal agreement from a Flinders academic supervisor.

• Certified academic transcripts and degree certificates (translated into English).
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) with research experience and publications.
• Research proposal (around 500 words).
• Up to five recent publications with coversheets.
• Two academic referee reports on official forms.
• Email confirmation of supervisor agreement.
• Proof of English language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.).


APPLICATION PROCEDURES

• Register via the StudyLink portal to get your Flinders Student ID Here .
• Activate your Flinders Authentication Name (FAN) using your Student ID and date of birth. Here .
• Apply for admission to a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program through the Student Information System using the link at the bottom of this page.
• Log in to your OKTA dashboard and create a new scholarship application under “2025 International RHD Scholarship Group.” Here .
• Upload all required documents in PDF format with proper file names.
• Monitor your application status through the Student Information System.
• Wait for the scholarship outcome notification via your Flinders email.
