ISLAMIC DEVELOPMENT BANK (ISDB) SCHOLARSHIP 2025-2026

To support bright but financially needy students, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) offers a prestigious scholarship program to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is an international financial institution dedicated to fostering economic development and social progress in Muslim communities. The Scholarship Program for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries (SPMC) was launched in 1983 to support underprivileged Muslim students in non-member countries. This program is designed to empower young scholars, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their communities through education and professional skills.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Must be a Muslim student from a non-member country of IsDB
• Demonstrated financial need
• Maximum age of 24 years
• Must have completed senior secondary education with good grades in science subjects
• Must be medically fit and willing to undergo a medical examination
• Must have secured admission to a recognized university in their home country
• Should not be an IsDB staff member or related to an IsDB employee
• Must provide evidence of language Proficiency in the university medium of instruction as relevant. The language proficiency must be supported by a document or certificate, e.g., for English, by a recognized language certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS or by having passed the required level tests conducted such as by the British Council or equivalent system in French or other languages

• Veterinary Science
• Nursing
• Nutrition
• Computer Science

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

• Completed scholarship application form
• Proof of admission to a recognized university
• Academic transcripts and certificates
• Proof of financial need
• Copy of passport or national ID
• Medical fitness certificate
• Language proficiency certificate (if required)
• Two recommendation letters
